BioHive Launches Utah Tech University Chapter
SALT LAKE CITY (September 11, 2024) – BioHive announces today the official launch of the Utah Tech University (UTU) BioHive Student Chapter. This new chapter will join the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, Utah State University, and Utah Valley University chapters to connect students to the life sciences and healthcare innovation industry. With this addition, we are proud to have more than 1,200 student members, and we eagerly welcome new members and universities to the Hive throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
The Mission of BioHive Student Chapters
BioHive Student Chapters play an integral role in BioHive’s mission to build the industry by bridging the gap between academic and industry. By fostering strong connections between students and life sciences professionals, we strive to empower the next generation of leaders in biotechnology, medtech, pharmaceuticals, and health technology. BioHive chapters provide students with valuable insights, essential skill development, and opportunities to form meaningful professional connections that will support their future careers. Student leaders in BioHive Chapters are given the unique opportunity to spearhead initiatives and connect students with representatives, while advocating for the needs of students.
“The BioHive Utah Tech Chapter offers an exciting opportunity that allows me to explore the field of life science. It’s a chance to observe firsthand the motivations of those who thrive in the industry—whether it’s proving themselves, overcoming challenges, or supporting a loved one. I believe strong motivation is the key factor in shaping a successful future.”
— Karli Nielson, Vice President, UTU BioHive Student Chapter
