BioUtah Announces Headline Speakers for the 2022 Mayer Brown BioHive Life Sciences Summit

The summit will welcome distinguished keynote speakers on the frontiers of science and industry.

Salt Lake City, Utah – October 25, 2022 – BioUtah, Utah’s only trade association dedicated solely to the life sciences, announced today that the 2022 BioHive Summit, presented by Mayer Brown, will feature an impressive line-up of renowned speakers and panelists who will take center stage at this year’s in-person conference on November 10, at the Salt Palace Convention Center, in Salt Lake City, UT.

Lincoln Nadauld MD, PhD, Founder of the Precision Genomics program at Intermountain Healthcare where he also served as Chief of Precision Health and Academics will discuss how Utah is leading the way in precision medicine. In his role at Intermountain, Dr. Nadauld worked on solutions to improve health and tackle disease through genomics and precision medicine. He recently co-founded and was appointed President and CEO of Culmination Bio, a biotechnology data and discovery company spun out of Intermountain Healthcare.  

 

Other notable presenters include Jeffrey Shuren, MD, JD, Director of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the FDA, who will virtually host a live question and answer town hall meeting; Katie Peng, Chief Commercial Officer at Denali Therapeutics, who will talk about the search for a perfect health system; and Jefferson Moss, Innovation District Executive for the Utah System of Higher Education and the Majority Whip in the Utah House of Representatives, who will highlight state initiatives to support innovation.

 

Political experts, Jeff Kimbell of the Washington DC firm of Kimbell and Associates, and Nick Shipley, Chief Advocacy Officer of Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), will explore how the outcomes of the mid-term elections could impact the life sciences industry.
